Located close to the artic circle Celsa Armeringsstål is the leading producer of steel reinforcing products in the Nordic area. The company is a part of the Spanish Celsa Group, and is placed within Celsa Nordic; which has down stream reinforcing services in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
Celsa Nordic has been the main supplier to most high profile customers in the Nordic Countries such as the Great Belt Link in Denmark, the Øresund Link between Sweden and Denmark, the Oslo Airport Gardemoen and the Norwegian Opera in Oslo.
The facilities in Mo i Rana, acquired by the Celsa Group in early 2007, consist of a steel mill and a combined rolling mill for reinforcing bar and wire rod.
All activities are approved for the ISO 9001, and the steel production in Mo i Rana was the first steel works to get the environmental ISO 14001 approval.
The production is based on scrap, and Celsa Armeringsstål is Norway's largest recycling company. In combination with the use of hydroelectric power as their basic energy resource, this gives the division a high environmental profile.
Celsa Armeringsstål directly employs 320 persons.
